Eligibility

From the MCPS Athletics Handbook re: academics: "A student must maintain a minimum 2.0 unweighted marking period grade average with no more than one failing grade in a marking period in order to participate in any athletic contest or to participate in or attend any practices during the next marking period."  From the MCPS Athletics Handbook re: attendance: "Participation in any athletic event or practice requires student-athletes to attend all of their scheduled classes on the day of the event or practice. Student athletes who have prescheduled activities, such as a medical appointment, court appearance, driver's exam, or religious observance, will be permitted to participate in events/practices on the day of the absence, provided approval for the absence has been granted in advance. Registration time is here!

  Online registration for participation in fall soccer is scheduled to go live Monday July 12 sometime during the day.   If your student wishes to participate in what will be the greatest season ever for RHS, you MUST register them via ParentVue.    All students need a current sports physical (MCPS form SR-8 with Covid supplement) to participate.  Students cannot start participating until the registration process is finished.    Physicals should be submitted online during the registration process.    This is the only physical form accepted by MCPS for participation in high school sports.   https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/uploadedFiles/departments/athletics/health/SR-8%20Physical%20Form%20with%20Covid%20Supplement.pdf

2021 SUMMER WORKOUTS

SUMMER WORKOUTS ARE STARTING!!!! Every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 - 7:30 pm at RHS starting July 6th.  Wear workout clothes, sneakers, bring water, a towel, and a mask.   

FALL 2021 CHEER TRYOUTS

WE ARE BACK!!! Fall tryouts are scheduled.  Mark your calendars  Clinics - to learn the cheer, chant, dance, and jumps for tryouts. We are excited to see all previous and new to RHS soccer players out on August 11, 2021 for the first day of the Fall 2021 LIVE season!  Participation is mandatory from August 11 through the end of the season. Location and time TBD. Be sure to get your physicals up to date and register as soon as the online system opens.  See you in August!

Rockville Varsity Rams stole the lead late and defeated Northwood High School 20-19 on Wednesday.  The game was tied at 13 with Rockville Varsity Rams batting in the bottom of the third when Rockville Varsity Rams scored on a stolen base during Natalie Bacon's at bat. Then Bacon singled , driving in one.
