We came into our season-opener riding a wave of momentum from the scrimmage season. Unfortunately we ran into a very strong team in Wootton who did not seem to lose much from the State Finals run last year. We weren't able to get the ball onto our offensive side of the field very often mainly due to Wootton strong stick work and ball control. However our girls fought incredibly hard and held the Lady Patriots off after they scored 3 goals on us. We gave up alot of of penalty corners and some shots on goal, but we did not allow any goals for the last 40 mins of the game which was incredible. We look forward to more strong defense and some more offense for our team when we play against Richard Montgomery next Wednesday.
