In the regular season we lost to Damascus 4-0 and played defense most of the game. However, in this game we did not see the same result. We were able to maintain possessions and get the ball up the field. We were able to frustrate Damascus on their offensive side as well. Our girls played with a lot of heart and determination. Even after Damascus rolled a ball into our goal through some traffic in front of the net, the girls did not give in. Once the goal happened, they went on the offensive and had numerous chances to tie the game up throughout the second half. Unfortunately we just couldn't get the ball past their goalie. The 1-0 loss was unfortunate but at the same time was a great way to finish the season and witness the improvement we had made.
