The Rams beat the Hornets 9-7 in a very exciting game yesterday at Manuel Field. The big blow came off the bat of Junior Greg Brown, who blasted a 3 run shot over the right-center field fence to give the Rams an 8-0 lead thru 4 innings. The Hornets would not go away. They battled back to get within 2 before the Sam Kane came in and closed the game out.
The Rams were led by Brown(2 for 4, hr, 3rbi's), Sam Kane(2 for 2, triple, 2 rbi's), Sean Van Gieson(2 for 4, double, rbi), David Grant(2 for 3, 3 runs scored, 3 stolen bases) and Zach Scanlon(2 for 3, rbi).
Brown also threw 6 and 1/3 innings, with 5 K's and zero walks.
