Pre-Season/Tryout and Practice Schedule

Important: You must register on the myMCPS portal under Fall Athletic Registration AND upload a physical exam within one year. Players must be registered with an up to date physical in order to try out. 

Please note, this information is subject to change and it is your responsibility to check Twitter and email for changes due to weather, etc. Plan to be 15 minutes early to each activity to get gear on and be ready to start.  Location note:  August evening sessions will be at Wood MS (lower field), and morning workouts will be at RHS Track (bring running shoes).  After Labor Day, practices will continue at Wood MS (3:15-5:15pm).  Please be at the fields, getting gear on by 3pm.  We will begin promptly at 3:15pm.

August 14-16 : 6pm-8pm 

August 17 (Saturday). Mandatory Scrimmage @ Quince Orchard HS. 2 games, JV at 9am (arrive by 8am), and  Varsity10:30am . NOTE: The team you will be playing on this day is NOT indicating the final team selection. Those on JV need to stay for Varsity game as we will be mixing players in and out from both groups.  

August 19 : 5:30pm-8:00pm (meet at RHS Coach Leidl's room (2099) for film session 5:30-6:00)

August 20: 7am-8am, 6pm-8pm

August 21: TBD

August 22: 6-8pm

August 23: 7:00am-8:00am and 6pm-8pm (team selections). 

JV only from this date in August/early Sept (except ALL are expected at scrimmages below)

August 24 (Saturday) GK only 9am-10:30am

August 26: 4:00-5:00pm RHS Stadium Field 

                  5:30-7:00pm Watch Varsity Soccer Game

                  7:15-8:00pm Parents Meeting in the Staff Lounge

August 27: 6:00-6:30pm Team Pictures in Cafeteria

                  6:30-7:00pm Film Session in Staff Training Room

                  7:00-8:00pm RHS Stadium Field

August 28: 6-8 Wood MS (captain's vote)

August 29: Springbrook Scrimmage (home). Arrive 3:45. Scrimmage 4:45-6:00
