The Lady Rams have earned the top spot in the division after a brilliant 1-0 win over Damascus on Wednesday night. The game was kept scoreless into the second hlaf. After the starting keeper, Alexis Fragger was injuered 20 minutes into the second half, junior Michelle Miller stepped into the goal to keep the score 0-0. At the 12 minute mark, Chouassi Tshimanga carried the ball down the sideline and crossed the ball into the middle, where sophomore, Sammy Bauer, put the ball into the net to give the Rams a 1-0 lead. The last 10 minutes of the game was hard fought in the cold, rain and the girls kept Damascus from scoring.
The Lady Rams are currently undefeated in their division. They face Richard Montgomery in a non-division game Friday, October 14th at 5:30 at the Rocket's stadium. Wheaton High School and Poolesville will be the last of the Rams' division games. If Wheaton and Poolesville are defeated, the Rams will win the division title.
